When you think of fine dining, you probably don't imagine a psychic as your dinner companion. But if you'd like to experience both, you may be interested in an event Nonni's Italian Eatery in Concord is cooking up. Florida psychic medium Robert Allen Fahey will translate messages from the spirit world while guests munch on a three-course meal featuring prosciutto harvest salad, a braised beef entrée and chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. The two-hour meals will take place Oct. 22 and 23 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. The cost is $55; call 573-4038 for reservations.

We asked Joella Maron at Nonni's about the event: How did this event come about? Dr. Fahey has done a radio show on Pulse 107.7 for a while now. It just so happened that the very first radio show he'd done a couple years ago . . . the owner of Nonni's was the first guest to call in, ever. He liked what he heard.

Is everyone guaranteed a reading? Everyone isn't guaranteed. He does pick people out, if he feels a connection, but it's more about the group experience. . . . He does pets, and relationships, messages of love and career paths. We're setting up a celestial theme in the room.

A psychic's life must be exciting. How did you persuade Fahey to come to Concord? He does a lot of traveling in general, but Mat (the owner) just called him and proposed. We're putting him up in the hotel here.

Do psychics like to eat braised beef? The food selections are made up by our chef. We picked something that showcases our specialties, like the cheesecake. The cooks braise the beef themselves, and the salad is to keep a little bit of Italian flair in there. People should come just for our cheesecake. It's amazing.

Any chance the spirits will shed some light on who's going to win this big election? I don't know. You'll have to come to find out. The power of everyone's spirits combined may just give us the answer.
